چکیده

In this article, a digitized stress function-based feed rate scheduling algorithm is formulated for the prevention of tool breakage while having an optimum material removal in mesoscale rough milling hardened steel. Instead setting limits to cutting forces and rates, presented method regulates tool’s stresses. A 3D coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian finite element (FEM) model used simulate chip flow-based according rotation during Maximum uncut thickness engaging angle identified as fundamental driving factors down configuration. Furthermore, multiple linear regression formed digitize with two major scheduling. The rates each segment along path can be obtained through models model. validated experiments paths arc segments. series experimental validations, demonstrated capability reducing machining time eliminating breakages.

Prediction of Tool Life in End Milling of Hardened Steel AISI D2

Most published research works on the development of tool life model in machining of hardened steels have been mainly concerned with the turning process, whilst the milling process has received little attention due to the complexity of the process. Thus, the aim of present study is to develope a tool life model in end milling of hardened steel AISI D2 using PVD TiAlN coated carbide cutting tool....

Detection of Tool Flute Breakage in End Milling Using Feed-Motor Current Signatures

In this paper, an effective algorithm based on improved time-domain averaging is proposed to detect tool flute breakage during end milling using feed-motor current signatures. The algorithm proposed is demonstrated to be effective in detecting tool flute breakage in real time through a series of milling experiments, and is also demonstrated to be insensitive to the effects for transients, such ...

Development of Endmills for Milling Hardened Steel Molds and Copper Electrodes

In recent years, mold manufacturers have had to meet growing demand for high precision molds, low cost and short delivery time due to the miniaturization of finished products, price competition with overseas companies, and reduced model cycles. In line with these market changes, users have been gradually inclined to shift their machining methods applied to key mold parts (made of hardened steel...

Dynamic scheduling of steel casting and milling using multi-agents

This paper presents a case study on the use of multiagents for integrated dynamic scheduling of steel milling and casting. Steel production is an extremely complex problem requiring the consideration of several different constraints and objectives of a range of processes in a dynamic environment. Most research in steel production scheduling considers static scheduling of processes in isolation....
